The Women’s Empowerment Process is a resource in Spanish for ministry with migrant women that was created by CMFN for use by local leaders and pastoral agents in communities of migrant farmworkers and rural immigrants in the U.S. The four topics are flexible and can be presented in several weekly sessions in a row, throughout the year, or all together in a weekend retreat. The Process includes Bible readings, prayer, reflection, group activities and art, and covers the following topics:
- Self Esteem,
- Dignity and Human Rights,
- Domestic Violence, and
- Human Trafficking.
There is a 32 page guide that includes all the topics for leaders and facilitators, and a set of four booklets—one for each topic—for the participants. It is available as PDF files with permission to print copies as needed. It is also available in full-color printed version for delivery by U.S. Mail. The Women’s Empowerment Process is available in Spanish only.

In 2013 this bilingual booklet was updated and reprinted. It contains the Declaration of the Community of Migrant Farmworkers and Rural Immigrants and the Resolutions and Recommendations from CMFN’s II National Consultation held in 2007. It includes history and background information about the Catholic Migrant Farmworker Network, and, most importantly, the prophetic statements of the migrant farmworker and rural immigrant members of our Network who address the Church leadership with their hopes and concerns.
